The importance of windows

Windows play a central role in the energy performance of passive houses, as they influence both thermal comfort and energy consumption. In a passive house, the windows are not simple openings to the outside, but real elements of thermal insulation. They must allow for optimal light transmission while minimizing heat loss in winter and excessive heat input in summer.

NZP windows are Passivhaus Cold certified, which means they meet stringent energy performance requirements even in cold climates, such as Canada. With exceptional insulation and well-balanced light transmission, these windows help maximize indoor comfort while reducing energy consumption.

They thus guarantee better airtightness and energy efficiency adapted to the most demanding standards of passive houses.

OPENINGS

FIXED

The sleek frames of our fixed windows maximize the amount of natural light while providing excellent thermal insulation. The quality of our product allows us to produce windows of exceptional dimensions without compromising the performance of your building.

BELLOWS

The bellows window, with a handle at the top of the frame, opens by tilting the upper part of the shutter. This design allows for efficient ventilation while providing increased security against intrusions. In addition, it can remain open during rain, as the water naturally drains to the outside.

Tilt and turn

The tilt-and-turn windows have a multi-point lock, ensuring a superior seal compared to other models on the market. They offer two opening modes: by swinging inwards or by tilting the upper part. The robust hardware of these windows allows for the creation of very large operable windows while ensuring maximum ventilation.

Imitation Wood: Natural Beauty Without the Maintenance

Discover the perfect illusion with our imitation wood finish at NZP Fenestration.

Our advanced technique captures the warmth and richness of real wood with striking realism — it’s easy to misunderstand.

Enjoy the classic elegance of wood windows, but without the maintenance constraints associated with the natural material.

Enhanced Durability
Our welded uPVC frames offer unmatched strength. Each uPVC and weatherstripping wall merges into a unified structure, eliminating the separation and infiltration hazards often associated with mechanically assembled corners of wood or aluminum windows. This continuity ensures long-term waterproofing and increased durability from the elements.

Aesthetic and Practical
BenefitsWith our wood-effect windows, you not only benefit from an attractive design but also from improved performance. They are weatherproof, do not warp, and do not require repetitive treatments — a huge advantage for any property concerned with aesthetics and ease of maintenance.

Choose innovation with the wood effect of NZP Fenestration: the promise of authentic style and lasting peace of mind. Explore the possibilities and let us transform your space with the perfect harmony of design and functionality.

Realization

Charlevoix

Nestled in the beautiful Charlevoix region, this project under construction goes beyond just a house; It embodies a real manifesto in favor of eco-responsibility.

Designed with a deep commitment to the environment, this exemplary building strives to reduce its carbon footprint while providing exceptional comfort to its future residents. Although it has not yet obtained its certification, the steps to acquire it are already underway. Due to its location, this construction had to use the PassivCanada Cold version windows to achieve certification.
